how did you make those cool background dots/splotches where part is more saturated than the rest? it gives a cool “depth” effect.

  Glad you like it! It’s just a brushmark — to make the dot/splotch shape, I press down harder with my first touch (which leaves a good bit of paint that dries to make the darker color), then pull it away gently (which leaves the trail of less wet, more diluted paint that dries lighter). I like the effect too. Some of the dots make me think of jellybeans. 🙂

Oh. My. God. I love this. I missed the first two days, so I had the benefit of getting to see all three at once, rather than waiting on pins and needles for the next day’s post (although I’m already eager to see day four). 😉 This is so beautiful and inspiring!
