Wowee, new layout!

I’ve been wanting to redesign my journal for a while now, and since I’m now DONE WITH MY EXAM, I have some extra time before school starts!

I have to admit, I didn’t entirely wait until D-Day was over to start the redesign. I had a good idea about how to change the layout while I was studying for the exam, so I signed up for a one-month free trial of Typepad and tried that out. Typepad is a lot cleaner and more fun to use than Livejournal, but it would be $8.95/month–not bad if I consider my blog a “utility” like internet (freakin $58.95/month) or somesuch, but almost $100 for a year of blogging is kind of a lot when you think about it. But I am thinking about it. I’d really like to know what you all think. Check out the Typepad layout I made: [alas, screenshot now lost]

Let me know how you think the Typepad journal compares to this LJ one: look, features, etc. I know there are a decent number of you lurking out there, so if you don’t want me to know about you, just leave a comment anonymously. You’ll be helping me decide whether I want to shell out $89.50 for a year of TypePad.

I’ll write a longer entry later on how the exam was, etc. Bottom line: all the tension, anxiety, guilt, and worry are gone now. It’s amazing. I did write a few updates on the TypePad blog [now lost] while I was studying, though, so you can refer to those for more amusement. ;b
