I’ve been seeing a lot of this quiz on people’s blogs lately. So I gave in to the imaginary pressure, and here are my results. They’re pretty accurate, actually, for both me and Erik–in terms of what’s important to me, what we’re both like, and what I’d like to see more of. 🙂

Currently puttering around organizing my apartment and waiting for my baked beans to finish. I did a cookbook “don’t” and started a recipe without reading it all the way through first–how was I to know the beans would have to bake for six hours? Anyway, they’re almost done now, and I sampled them about half an hour ago, and they’re tasty.

Margaret and I are going to hear Han-Na Chang Wednesday night at the Walt Disney Concert Hall. I am incredibly excited about this: Han-Na is a wonderful cellist and one of my favorite performers. I’ve heard her before, twice, but both previous times were with an orchestra, while this time it’s a solo recital. It’s a great program, too: she’s playing the third of Bach’s Unaccompanied Cello Suites (go here [link broken] to hear part of it), something by Britten and a piece by Ligeti. I don’t know Britten well, but Ligeti is crazy and contemporary, so it’ll be a great mix. I am so excited. I’ve had kind of an itch for live music lately, so this is especially welcome. LA people, you should go to this recital. The tickets aren’t expensive–the cheapest are $15–and if you think the sound of a recorded cello is beautiful, you need to hear it live.
