I’ve (at last) hit upon a surprisingly simple way of taking care of several problems I have:
-I spend too much time sitting in front of the computer.
-That gives me a headache.
-And makes my eyes hurt.
-And makes my shoulders and upper back and neck really hurt.
-I’m perpetually sleepy.
-I need to take more breaks.
-I need to exercise more.
-I get cold in the evenings.
The solution? Every half hour, I will get up from my seat, cycle to some upbeat song in my playlist, and dance. After one song’s worth of dancing, my muscles are all relaxed, my headache is gone, and I’m warm and energized. Gets me to drink more water, too.
Directly inspired by my download of Prince’s “When Doves Cry” and hearing it on my mp3 player and the way it made me feel.

Of course, the way things go for me I didn’t figure this out until I’d wasted most of today, but so far it’s working well. 😀
