My sister Sarah (whom I call Shra) had a birthday on Saturday. I didn’t have a gift for her but through my paints and brushes I was able to make her a lavish, and rather girly, assortment of cupcakes. The full card is about 4-5″ tall, so the photo below is actually an enlargement.
Happy happy birthday, dear Shra, and many more! β€
love it! me want one! π
Ditto! Looks yummy but no calories (though no one should have to count calories on their birthday).
Thank you both! π I agree, Sherry — birthdays are for enjoying. π
Wonderful! It’s beautiful and fun, and I find it charming that it is so small.
Thank you, Alejna! I gravitate toward the small, when I’m art-making. I want to be able to work big and splashy and free, but that’s something I have to work on consciously.
This would be a wonderful gift. So much better than if you’d simply purchased something.
Thank you, Lisa. The perfectionist in me always thinks I need not only a handmade card but a handmade gift, too, and fancy wrapping, and maybe dinner or flowers too… sometimes I wish I were two people, and one of them was a man, so I could date myself. It’s a ridiculous thought, but I think I’d be very good at the grand romantic gesture. ;b
Ahhhhhhh! Oh my god, this is my kind of heaven. It’s amazing!! The details, the luscious frosting (which looks as if it were really difficult to paint), the colors–absolutely gorgeous. *happy sigh*
Thank you so much, Mo!! Actually I was thinking of you quite a lot while painting it! You and your mini cupcakes! π I had a newfound appreciation for your tiny, beautiful work when all I had to do was move a brush around, not sculpt. π
Aww this is so sweet, this is great! Happy belated Sarah! π A talented sister you have there! π
