If you’ve been reading this blog for a while, you may remember Fredrick Cloyd’s Open Mic guest post, an excerpt from his memoir Dream of the Water Children, dream of the water children. You’ll recall he wrote movingly about his experiences as a multiracial child growing up in 1960s Japan, and about his parents and especially his mother.
Fredrick’s mother is now ill and in hospice, and he has traveled out of state to be with her. His funds are low, so he’s created a “donate” button on his blog for anyone who can offer financial support during this time. If you were touched by his guest post and are able to donate, please consider doing so at his blog (the donation link is on the right).
