I am so tired! I spent almost the entire day taking photos of leftover inventory from Craft Happy, in preparation for listing these items on Etsy. Photoshoots are by far the most time-consuming aspect of putting things in the shop, so I’m hoping that doing all these photos at once will save me time in the longer run. I still have some more photos to do, but the vast majority are now finished, so I’ll be able to list items at my leisure over the coming week.
One thing about doing so many photos at once is it makes me really stretch myself.
Today I experimented with taking some of the photos outdoors. The weather has been so gorgeous, and everything’s blooming with spring, so I wanted to take my creations out to enjoy it too. 😉 Bright sun is difficult, but I do think the outdoor shots have a liveliness that the indoor ones lack. I’m going to keep experimenting.
I also discovered today that some of my brooches and zip pouches go incredibly well together. At left is my favorite combination, but I also came up with at least one other. This makes me wonder whether I should put them together properly… make some clutches with removable adornments that double as brooches. I’ll have to add that to my already over-long crafting ideas list!
I had lots of other thoughts to share today, but I’m just too worn out now!
Good night!
Oooh, I love the brooch/pouch combo!! What lovely colors 🙂 And I hear you–photographing my stuff is definitely my least favorite aspect of selling, at least when I have tons and tons of items to take pictures of. Ugh.
I hope you were able to get a ton of pics out of the way!
I did get through lots of pics, thank you! The only ones left now are the ones that require a model, so I have to wait till a day when I’m feeling nice and sexy… or just actually properly dressed. ;b
I love the brooch/pouch combo too… I am loving all kinds of colors right now for spring! I just went to my brother-in-law’s house today for the first time since they massively remodeled it, and they have the most gorgeous Italian glass chandelier over their dining table. It’s got all these glass fruits hanging off it, so it’s sparkly and slightly rococo but also extremely whimsical. Oh! I found it online: http://www.casasugar.com/shopstyle/look/428901?page=0,0,0 but that photo doesn’t begin to do justice to the way it looked in the sunlight!
