I first got the idea for this drawing a year ago, in mid-December 2006. (That was two journal/sketchbooks ago!) Then, in early July of this year, I tried to sketch it out, but it was horrible. This morning I skipped painting class and worked on this instead, and this time the sketch worked. Then, after I got home and finished the book that made me feel human again (see previous entry), I completed all the pen and marker work. There are some grey swirls in the background of the main figure and corresponding talking heads that somehow didn’t scan, but otherwise, this JPG looks pretty much like it does on paper.
I’m very pleased with it, and with Erik’s piece (see below).[I was referring to one of Erik’s compositions, but now I’m not sure which one; the link is broken.]
