Feeling better

I do feel better than I did last night, though that’s typical of the morning and the daytime. But–dance went well this morning. My knees have been unhappy lately so I tried to be very light on my little jumps, but of course Carol noticed and told me that my jumps were Southern and needed to be Northern. I had no clue what she meant, so she cracked us all up by demonstrating the imaginary-mint-julep-holding, coquettish little jumps she thought I was doing. On our next set of jumps she came up behind me and tried to lift up my middle to show me how to use my torso, but she didn’t know how ticklish I am and I didn’t know what she was about to do, so as soon as she touched my waist I burst into huge giggles. Everyone laughed at me, but it was fun. Carol quickly backed away and just told me verbally what to do instead. ๐Ÿ™‚ And I figured out how to jump “Northern” without landing heavily on my knees, so my knees were much happier and so was I.

After dance I had a big craving for chocolate and caramel, or just chocolate with nutty chewy stuff in it, so I was heading to the student store to get some Ritter Sport (the approximately $2 worth of coins in my wallet is about all the money I have left at this point, sadly). Then I noticed that they were giving away free scoops of Fenton’s ice cream for Homecoming Week in Lower Sproul. Exciting! I’ve heard so many good things about Fenton’s I decided to brave the line. Actually, it moved really fast, so within minutes I had my cookies and cream. Wonderful delicious stuff. Fenton’s reputation is well deserved. And I didn’t have to spend my precious last cents to get some sweet munchies. ๐Ÿ™‚

So I am feeling better, yes. Mommy’s hug comment helped too. ๐Ÿ™‚ I’m glad I wrote that last night, though, because it made me think and sparked some new ideas about what I want to do with myself next semester and next year. I’m going to be doing a lot of thinking about this in the next couple of days.

Oh dear don’t look at the Ritter Sport webpage too long unless you have some on hand!
