i haven’t heard from anybody if they’re interested in reading my paper, but in case anyone is, here it is. i had saved the title page as a separate document so i didn’t post that here, but the paper is called Chinese Immigrants on Angel Island: Grasping for Support in a Changing Environment.
i love my paper topic and i strongly like my paper. if anyone reads it and is interested in finding out more about the topic, i would love to talk to you about it. in fact, it will be difficult to get me to shut up 🙂
[note, 4/10/14: Imported from my old blog at satsumabug.livejournal.com. This was one of my earliest posts; I’m not making all of them public. The link to my paper has been broken for a long time and I’m not going through the trouble of re-finding or re-uploading.]
paper link doesn’t work…for me at least (brian)

Re: paper link doesn’t work…for me at least (brian)
it didn’t work for me either the first time around, but for some reason when i tried it again it worked. i’ll try to figure out what’s wrong with it 🙂 thank you for your interest and for letting me know 🙂
I love that you invited others to read your work. though my memory could be in error, I can’t remember sharing papers I wrote in school with friends, family, community, or people on the internet. Which is a pity, because so much work was done with so much care, and often the only person to read it besides me was the TA/GSI grading it. In retrospect, that seems like a waste.
Do you hang on to papers like that? I have some of mine somewhere, the ones I was most proud of (like this one). I’ll have to see if I can find a digital version.
I hang on to everything. My home is a museum to all the me’s I’ve ever been. I’m sure there are many papers in the archives. And many class notes. And many math problems.
