Dears, I’m going to take a weeklong vacation from writing new posts. I’m sick with what seems to be a bad cold (yesterday I went from feeling fine to feeling miserable within an hour! What?!), tomorrow is Thanksgiving, and my youngest sister is home from college for the holiday. So I’m just going to rest for a while, hang out with family, and read (currently enjoying Margaret Lobenstine’s The Renaissance Soul… I hope to catch up on everyone else’s blogs too!).
I’ll still check comments, but unless there’s something I absolutely must share, I won’t be updating again till December (my favorite month!). Great thanks and love to you all, enjoy the holiday, and see you in a week!
Good for you for taking a break! I hope you feel better, and have an absolutely fabulous Thanksgiving/vacation!!
Glad you’re taking care of yourself, Lisa. I hope you’re feeling better soon and able to enjoy the holiday and family visits.
feel better!!!!!! hope you can still manage to enjoy thanksgiving π
We will miss you! Do enjoy your week off — and hope you were feeling well enough today to eat turkey with your family.
Thank you so much for the good wishes, everyone! I’m not back to 100% health yet but I’m feeling much better now. And yes, thankfully, I DID enjoy my Thanksgiving dinner — the night before I couldn’t taste anything, so I was afraid I’d have to eat a flavorless meal the night-of, but my taste buds revived just in time. π Good thing, too; I’d made two kinds of cranberry sauce (it’s so easy, it turns out!), and my brother-in-law deep-fried a turkey!
Wonderfu! And yes, cranberry sauce is awful easy for something so delectable. π
I couldn’t believe it! I didn’t grow up with it, so the first time I tasted it was at a Thanksgiving dinner at Erik’s parents’ house, and that was the canned kind (which I also love). But now that I know how easy it is to make my own, there’s no going back. π
