The IWL piece is due today, and barring any crazy hijinks on the part of the universe, I think I’ll be able to turn it in within a few hours. I’ve revised the Chickens story and now it goes to a really different place. I don’t know that it hangs together as well as it might, but for now it feels right to me. Looking at it makes me think I have a really strange mind (which is a good thing for an artist, but it’s still a little disconcerting).
I don’t have good scans of it at the moment and I won’t be posting it here anyway, but you can be sure I will link to the online anthology when it comes out, which will be sometime before 6 July. For now, I’ll leave you with a photo of all the pages hanging out together on my coffee table.
Oooh! It looks beautiful from a distance– I love the colors! I can barely wait to see what your strange, artistic, beautiful mind has come up with. 🙂
Thank you, Ré! I can’t wait for you to see it — and the rest of the anthology. I’ve read all the pieces that are going into it and they are so amazing, I get shivers.
Well done. Deadlines are scary so high five for making it. I’m intrigued to see where you have gone with it. 🙂
Thank you, Alan! I’m even more impressed that everyone else in the group made the deadline — I at least had eight pages to begin with, but some people were starting from scratch and they pulled through with incredible work. Can’t wait to share with you once the anthology goes live. It’ll be sometime this month or else the first week of July.
Looking forward to seeing what you’ve done with your chicken story! Know it will be amazing and intriguing and worth the wait…..
Thanks, Sherry! I hope so. I really can’t wait to share it with you!
