I try not to use clichés*, but the weather has changed abruptly to the thick fog that means winter here, and some mornings it really does feel like it weighs everything down. Other mornings it feels like we live in a cloud, since we can’t see beyond the edges of our neighbors’ houses.
Sunday I felt my appetite returning and yesterday I thought I was getting better, but I was too optimistic. I woke up this morning feeling as sick as I had over the weekend. I skipped watercolor class and took to bed with Sense and Sensibility and Seamonsters and the latest issue of Martha Stewart Living. I’m taking it easy and hoping my energy will return in time for Saturday’s show. In the meantime, if updates here are less frequent than usual, you’ll know why.
Love and health to you all!
*Well, most of the time. Some clichés I love and will use whenever I can, like “more ____ than you can shake a stick at.”
Okay, after clicking the link and seeing what it’s about, I have seriously got to sit with that book at a Borders and spend some time with it! I get into the Martha Stewart thing as well. I’m just sorry that you’re getting to curl up with them now, because you’re under the weather. I hope you’re feeling better soon.
PS: I think a lot of clichés are highly underrated!
Take care of yourself,
Ré
I got a huge kick out of it. And I bought it at a Papyrus store, of all places, during their 75% off sale, so it was only a few bucks!
Martha Stewart ticks me off a little because who has time to make everything so perfect?! And yet her magazine is amazing visual and crafty inspiration.
I feel better today, but still not 100%. Sigh.
Take care too.
I’m sending you loads of love and healing vibes, and good luck with your show!! I’m sure it’s going to be fab, and I can’t wait to hear shoppers’ responses to everything, particularly the new signs and labels. 😀
Thank you!! I can feel the healing vibes from here. 🙂 I’ll take as many pics as I can, and report back next week!
