Now that Craft Happy is over, I don’t have to be crafting daily anymore, but there’s still a fair bit of pressure — as evidenced by my not sleeping so well ever since the night before the show. I need to reshoot everything that didn’t sell at the show and list it on Etsy (I’ve already started with a couple of zip pouches… and a new idea of including more of my writing in my descriptions, check that out!), I’ve just put international shipping options on everything in the shop, and the recent Storque mention has sent some new inquiries my way. Naturally there is a lot of rearranging and paperwork-type stuff to do after a show, like updating my mailing list with new subscribers (yay!), and the exciting new task of notifying my giveaway winner (I offered a $10 credit at my shop for one lucky new mailing-list subscriber) of her prize. ๐ Not to mention a mountain of laundry we’ve been ignoring!
In addition, there are some craft/shop tasks waiting for me from before Craft Happy, so I’d like to get to those this week as well. My youngest sister is back for spring break, so I’m trying to spend as much time with her as possible… we leave for Hong Kong in two weeks (eep!)… and due before I leave is an application for a summer writing workshop, which requires up to 20 pages of sample fiction or memoir to accompany it. Not exactly a rest period, is it? But I guess that’s the way it goes, and I don’t mind, really. It’s a lot of stuff to do, and the writing will be a challenge, but none of this compares to the exquisite mass of details that is prepping for a craft show. ;b As I’ve said before, show prep is like planning a wedding, so it’s a relief to be able to just open my head and let some of those details drain out now that I don’t need them in there anymore. ;b The decompression process is surprisingly slow.

yay for being busy doing things you love! i wish we could all be so lucky ๐
Yes! Forgot to mention in this entry so I’ll probably put this in its own entry some other time, but every now and then I realize that if I won the lottery I wouldn’t change anything about my life (except maybe a pair of bespoke shoes, and some new clothes for Erik… hee). Even if I got enough money to never have to work again ever, I wouldn’t change a thing. I think that’s wild and amazing. ๐
