The weather is still stormy. This evening we had a brilliant flash of lightning followed almost instantly by a loud thunderclap. Earlier in the afternoon, the rain pounded our walls and windows so violently it almost sounded like the weather was inside the house. When Erik and I looked out the glass doors to investigate, we saw hail.
I had an odd workday, perhaps due to the weather. For a long while I didn’t feel like doing anything. Then I picked up a few items on my action lists and did them, but they weren’t satisfying, so I didn’t feel like doing anything more. Eventually, after a few games of Minesweeper, I returned to the action lists and worked my way through more items, and now I’m feeling better about today’s productivity.
In this morning’s pages I decided my goals for the week would be to finish some outstanding crafting projects, and to attack my action lists so steadily that I fill out about half of all my little sheets with completed actions. I’m making decent progress on all these goals.
One of the things I’m behind on is making brooches for the shop. Today I finally got through the prep work for several of them, and even completed one:
If the light gets better amidst tomorrow’s rains, I’ll take shop photos and list it.
I also made another brooch but it needs something more, maybe a little bit of bling or some decorative embroidery. I haven’t decided yet.
I do like the simplicity, but it hasn’t much pizzazz!
Tomorrow I’m looking forward to another workday, before we head back down to San Jose on Friday.
