OOOH but beautiful nonetheless. i didn’t even realize that it was done in marker until i read below. what kind of markers are you using? you could “do it” with prismacolor markers!
They’re Faber-Castell artist pens, which are brush pens. I like them, but they only come in 48 colors. I need to learn to paint so I can mix my own (though, in my limited painting experience, I’ve been really impatient with mixing colors, so I don’t know where this leaves me).
have you tried layering the marker colors? or if that doesn’t work with the artist pens you have, then you can start with layering color pencils together to create new ones – you can go a long way with 24 colors, and it’s less inertia to get started, worth a shot! 🙂 (by the way, if you have not already figured it out, that comment was from me – alison, the always anonymous commentator)
I did try layering them, which I think might work on different paper, but since I did it on tracing paper there was really nothing for the ink to sink into. I don’t have much colored-pencil technique so maybe I should work on that. 😉 Tank you! 😀
