Karuna Yoga is having a fundraiser, so I wanted to create something to donate to their silent auction. Here’s what I came up with:

I’m very happy with the concept, but not pleased with the execution. I feel like it’s very amateurish, and I feel sad because I worked on it for a long time and hoped it would look better than this. I’m afraid people will see it at the auction and think it’s silly and not bid on it.

oh, i know this is belated but you might consider working larger in your next art endeavors. I don’t know why, but art buyers usually like larger things. even 4×6 is OK, 8×10 stuff is good too. It’s just that smaller things are harder to see/sell. Unless they’re mass produced bookmarks. or screensavers.
I was afraid to go bigger because I’ve never worked with markers on a big piece before, and I wasn’t sure I could make it look good. I think you’re right though about people preferring bigger things, so next time I will try for something larger. Thank you!
The auction is tonight so we’re going and we’ll see what happens. I’m really hoping they’ll have the art displayed beforehand in a place where people can walk up to it and see it up close, otherwise I don’t see anyone buying this one at all. 😐 We’ll see — I’ll blog about what happens, IF I get to it before HP7 comes out, otherwise you know I won’t have anything else on the brain. 😉
i have blocked out ALL of sunday for reading HP7 by the pool. srsly. i’ll probly be reading it starting sat. night, really. after my birthday dinner. cuz i won’t be that big a doofus and read it at dinner 🙂
I just tried to write more predictions for what’s going to happen, got too excited after realizing the book has already been released in the UK, and gave it up as a bad job. 🙂
