Last night I dreamt I wrote a book about a college girl. I had tried really hard to make up street names and name the school something general like Jones University so as not to show favoritism, but when the book came out, what happened? The editor–who I then realized was a complete backstabber–had gone in and changed the town to Menlo Park and made the girl a Stanford student.

That is so interesting! =) Well…I guess depending the contents of the book in question…changing the names can have different effects…but I do think that editors (even ones in dreams) should respect an author’s right in choosing the proper setting for her book. =P
