i went to visit leland today. is it odd that my affinity lies with the teachers and not the students? because that’s who i always end up visiting: my old teachers. i have a great time talking to them, whereas with the students it’s more like ‘hi, how are you? i’m fine. okay, see you later!’ maybe it’s just because i have few friends outside of my class so there aren’t too many students i need to greet? at any rate, it’s always nice to be back, if only to see what i no longer have to go back to. 🙂

When I went back to visit my old high school, it was definitely to visit the teachers, not the students. I know that I had some friends who were still in high school when I’d graduated, but I think if I contacted them, I wouldn’t have done it by popping in at school. And most of my friends were older than me, more so than younger. But I had some teachers who really meant a lot to me. I wish I could see some of them again.
