Today became an unintentional day off. I began the morning still feeling like an outing — I went to bed last night with an inexplicable desire to do the kiddie rides at Disneyland (you know, Dumbo, Peter Pan, Alice in Wonderland) — so I went out for brunch and did some good morning pages there. Got home just before lunchtime. Wrote an entry on last night’s drawing studio (see previous entry). Watched Glee and got hung up on that for a while… okay, kind of all day, downloading songs and reading recaps. But we did go to Bridges in the afternoon, where I actually ran (on the treadmill) for the first time in forever, and it felt okay! We also stopped at the library for some of my holds. I am super, super excited to try out the projects in Subversive Seamster, which is the more advanced version of Sew Subversive (from which I got the idea for my t-shirt tote). Just now I went and washed all these dishes that have been sitting around for far too many days. This is always a strangely peaceful thing to do in the late evening.
Tomorrow’s going to be bookended by morning yoga and evening Bollywood Fusion, so I’m hoping the rest of the day won’t slip away the way today has! I’ve so much to do, and as long as I neglect work and household duties, the mental and physical clutter both build up and get in the way of clear focus!
