I’m doomed; I just started watching Glee on Hulu and I really like it! Good thing there are only five episodes posted for now… (and I’ve already watched three!)
The day started oddly and with a lot of care; my hair-trigger stomach from last night woke me up twice more before this morning, and I wasn’t sure it wouldn’t keep going all day. (It’s still a little sensitive now.) I skipped morning pages and just did whatever I wanted all morning, while Erik made an extraordinary roasted chicken that filled the house with savory aromas. Later, we went to Bridges, and in the evening we watched The Guild and Glee.
I did get some work done between the relaxed morning and the lazy evening, though. I took photos and listed Mousemarket‘s cash apron on Etsy (she loves it, yay!!), finished filling sari eye pillows, sewed an eye-pillow travel bag as a birthday gift, read through some Chinese history books (my first return to the family-history project since well before FabMo), took parcels to the post office (my first time mailing two Etsy orders on the same day!), and returned books to the library. I also wrote a lot of emails. I’m really, really pleased with the eye-pillow bag. It’s my own design, and while making it I figured out both how to make the bag stand on its own, and how to close it in a new way — a way that I think will work for laptop totes too. I’m going to make more of these bags and sell them as gift sets with the eye pillows. I think they’ll be really nice gifts for people who travel a lot.

Oh! And while at Bridges, I had a good chat with Annie, who owns/runs the cafe and bakery upstairs. Guess what she told me? Eddie Izzard did a bit on satsumas!!!! It is totally hilarious (of course), and spot-on true. Here you go; the satsuma part starts around 3:10.
