We spent much of our day yesterday running errands and having dinner at the Scheifeles’ beautiful home, but I did get a little bit of work in. In the morning, I took two hours to sew an omiyage pouch from a new design (dicky and annoying, but it only took two hours). While we were out shopping, I stopped by a thrift shop in El Cerrito and bought another length of fabric (for my own clothing, not for selling), two rolls of ribbon, a wooden box for decoupaging, and a tray for the FabMo display (I will decoupage it eventually, too, either before or after FabMo). I’ve just realized I may not have gotten a receipt from the lady at the store. Rats. Oh, well. And on the way to the Scheifeles’ I braided another yard or so of my rug.
I’m glad I’m getting better at sneaking in bits of work here and there, on days when I don’t have long blocks of time.
