Rug and pillow-box day

I set five goals today, and met only two of them — but that’s because I let myself go with the flow of the workday, and ended up doing other (equally valid) tasks instead of the goals I set at the start. That’s fine with me.

What I ended up doing today:

  1. Slept in, went to Bridges with Erik, then Asian Pearl for dim sum and Ranch 99 for fresh rice noodles.
  2. “Morning” pages in the early afternoon.
  3. Spray-glued wallpapers to card stock to make pillow boxes for the eye pillows.
  4. Went to El Sobrante Library to return books and pick up new ones.
  5. Finished sewing my 2 yards of rug from yesterday.
  6. Pinned and sewed together all the remaining rug strips into longer strips.
  7. Cut, folded, and taped all the pillow boxes.
  8. Posted a query on Facebook regarding my seller name; it’s narrowed down to either The Sixes and Sevens, or Satsumabug. I’m totally on the fence.

This was all quite satisfying. Rug-sewing is very tedious work, as was folding all the pillow boxes, but I feel very pleased now because the rug is coming along well, and now I have all the packaging done for the eye pillows.

Jackie called me today and told me she will come north to accompany me to the FabMo exhibition. This is so kind and supportive of her, I can hardly say anything about it; my gratitude exceeds my ability to express it.
