Slow momentum

Just as yesterday was slightly more productive than the day before, today was slightly more productive than yesterday. I exercised at Bridges, did morning pages, cooked lunch and dinner, did dishes and laundry and a bit of tidying, began the Austenesque retelling of our Ithaca trip that was Monday’s big idea, did some more emailing and other such boring-but-necessary work, and finally went through my notebook from the past week and typed up my notes — though I still have to incorporate them into the syllabus, a task that is onerous enough that I keep putting it off. Sigh. Momentum, once broken, takes so long to recover.
