The word of the day is:
fruit bat (okay, so that’s two words)
(n.) Any of various fruit-eating bats of the suborder Megachiroptera, inhabiting chiefly tropical and subtropical regions of Africa, Asia and Australia.
Generally I try to make my words of the day random, but there was a bit of a plan behind this one. I decided I wanted my word of the day to contain fruit, and there was quite simply no easier way to do that than to look up ‘fruit.’ And I find the phrase ‘fruit bat’ hysterically funny. It sounds like an insult, actually.
You fruit bat.
