All right, it’s official–I’m having a people-magnet day. Every day I’m on campus I run into a few people I know, but some days it just seems like everywhere I go I see a familiar face. As if someone somewhere is launching friends in my direction on purpose. Last time I had one of those days, I was on my way home from class, at four, a time and route when I don’t usually see anyone I know, but I ran into so many people I started predicting how many more I’d run into, and I predicted correctly. I think this is another one of those days because I just ran into two people I’ve been hoping to see ever since the semester started. Dorit and Frances, two friends from French. And on my way to lunch I saw someone I know who didn’t see me, and on my way into this library I ran into Hansel. That’s not so many people as I sometimes see on other days, but this one is particular because I ran into people I’ve been wanting to see.
I guess I can make another prediction… I’ll stay on the modest side since the numbers don’t seem incredible today. Four more people, not counting people I know I’ll see because of classes, before I get home today. I’ll let you know if it happens.
