This is the first story I created for the IWL workshop. I am beyond excited about it, and about the possibilities I now feel are open to me.
My lower back forces me to take a break from sitting, and I find it’s lovely! I immerse myself in garden magazines and nurseries, and get inspired to paint what that feels like.
A book on painting skin tones inspires me to try two color studies and create my best self-portrait to date.
I begin a series of small watercolor paintings for practice and experimentation. I’m so happy with the medium!
I decide I need to tackle watercolors more intensively.
A friend suggests I make my decorated quotations into a coffee-table book, and I can’t get the idea out of my head.
I reorganize my desk and it makes me feel like more of an artist.
