I guess taking our hourlong wind-down before bed last night really helped me sleep well! When I woke up I felt well rested and eager to jot down the details of the bizarre dream I’d had just before waking. As I wrote down the details and made some sketches, I realized this dream would do particularly well as sequential art. So I decided to take a little more time and do a comic.
The last time I drew a comic, it was frustrating, and I did a lot of figurative crumpling up of paper and throwing it in the wastebasket (like in old comics! teehee). But this time, maybe because I’d just woken up or because I didn’t care to make this comic “perfect”, everything just flowed — the borderless “panels,” the layout, everything. I must say I’m quite pleased with it and I think it looks a lot better than many of the comics I tried harder on. I think the art’s better too. Yay progress!!
