My cohort didn't get around to figuring out everyone's birthdays until recently. Karen's birthday was the first to come along after we'd compiled our list of dates. Her birthday, and Rosemary's, came at a hard time of the quarter, but I still wanted to do something for them. I'm used to spending hours on cards, but I've noticed that what has been happening this year is that I've been either too busy to remember the birthdays at all, or I've been ridiculously delayed in making or sending out the cards. In fact, I still have cards from March birthdays to send out... sorry, Jackie and Dana! :(

But anyway, along with learning how to manage my time and do work more efficiently, now I'm also learning how to produce cards that I can be proud of in a shorter amount of time. Better a simpler card than none, right?
