This card was for my friend and former suitemate Hung-Tzu's birthday in 2003.  I wanted a stained glass look, but nothing too ornate.  Certain round stained glass windows are referred to as "rose windows," but they're usually very intricate.  I kept the roundness and interpreted "rose window" literally, drawing the simple pair of roses.  I was really pleased with the way they came out, but I was dismayed when the calligraphy ink bled into the paper on the "happy birthdays."  Still, because of the roses and the overall effect, this is one of my favorite cards.
