In 2002, I was just starting to get to be friends with Xanthe when she invited Erik and me to her birthday party.  As far as I remember, I didn't get her a present because I didn't know her well enough, but I did make her a card.  I put a lot of time into it and it ended up being one of my favorite pieces ever (not just cards).

It was a lot of fun to come up with the color schemes and patterns, and though the coloring got tedious in the end, I was delighted by the final result.  I still love it.
