Visual diary: garden-variety Toronto

When we first arrived in Toronto a few weeks ago, it was quite cold and the forecast cautioned that there was a possibility of snow. Even so, I was pleasantly shocked by the gorgeous color in everyone’s yard — everyone seemed to have green grass and blossoming trees and all colors of tulips. On the way home from our recentĀ Saturday out, I snapped some photos before my camera battery unceremoniously died. One of these days I will get out and take more pics (especially of the tulips!), but for now, a little garden glory for your Wednesday:

White tulip

Lavender tulip

Green-edged white leaves

Tons of little lavender-colored flowers

Cluster of tiny white flowers

Purple scape

And the best for last… except not, because I can’t show you how wonderful these smell:

Lily of the valley
